The Cavenaugh Thumperthon 5K will start and finish in Stewart Park on the edge of Walnut Ridge Arkansas.

As an event in the Ridge Rider Athletic Club’s Running & Walking Series; Series Points and participation credit will be awarded to all participants.

Online registration is available at www.racesonline.com or you can follow the direct link on the left.  Pre-registration cost is $15.00 online and $22.50 for mail in entry.

Fee increases to $20.00 online and $25.00 for mail in entry on ten days before race date.   T-Shirts are only guaranteed to those participants registered ten days before race day.  We will order additional t-shirts, however those that register after the the fee increase will receive shirts on a first come first served basis until they are gone.

Packet Pickup and day of registration will be from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM at Stewart Park.  Day of registration will cost $20.00 and you are NOT guaranteed a race shirt or race packet.

Runner, Walkers and walking teams are encouraged to pre-register and arrive early for packet and chip pickup.

The USATF certified course will be completely flat mix of park roads and residential neighborhoods.  This is definitely a course you can PR on if you have been training.  If the wind stays calm this will be a very fast 5K. There will be two water stations at the 1 & 2 mile splits. The course will be marked and supervised with volunteers.  There will also be Walnut Ridge Police Officer support throughout the course.

Proceeds go to the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.

This will be a ChampionChip timed race.  You are responsible to return the Chip assigned to you. Please make sure to turn in your chip to the volunteers at the finish line.
