The 6^th Annual Heart & Sole 5K Run/Walk &Corporate Walk

The 6^th Annual Cardiology Associates Foundation Heart & Sole 5K Run & Walk Corporate Walk at Cardiology Associates at 201 E. Oak Ave in Jonesboro Arkansas.

This is the 8^th event of 11 in the 2010 Ridge Rider Athletic Club’s Running & Walking Series. Series Points will be awarded to all participants in the 5K. This event will be limited to a total of 800 participants for both the ½ marathon and 5K. Race day registration will be dependent on the total participants. The number of participants will be posted on this page closer to the time of the event. If this event reaches 800 participants prior to race date there will be NO race day registration.

Please note, if you register as a corporate team member, you must follow the corporate team prize structure to be eligible for a t-shirt. Corporate team members wishing to compete in either race are encouraged to register online. Your entry fee will go towards your team's total funds raised and your prize eligibility.

The USATF Certified 5K course is mostly flat mix of city streets and downtown neighborhoods. There will be two water stations at the 1 & 2 mile splits. The course will be marked and supervised with volunteers. There will also be Jonesboro Police support throughout the course.

Online registration is available at www.racesonline.com or you can follow the direct link on the left. Pre-registration cost is $20.00 online and $25.00 for mail in entry.

Fee increases to $25.00 online and $30.00 for mail in entry on September 16, 2010. Each participant that pre-registers online by September 15, 2010 receives a meal coupon for this year’s catered meal and will be guaranteed their T-shirt/size and race goody bag.

Packet pickup will be held September 24, 2010, time and place to be announced. Packet pickup will also be held on the morning of the race in the parking lot at Cardiology Associates, 201 East Oak, times to be announced.

During and after the race, enjoy live music with The Everyday Life Band and a catered meal free for participants at the start/finish. Family and friends may purchase a meal ticket for $5.00 on the day of the event.

Proceeds go to the Cardiology Associates Foundation and are ear-marked for health screenings and heart disease risk assessment throughout Northeast Arkansas for the general public and high school athletes.

This will be a ChampionChip timed race. You are responsible to return the Chip assigned to you. Please make sure to turn in your chip to the volunteers at the finish line.
