The 21st Annual Loose Caboose 5K Run & Walk will start and finish in downtown Paragould Arkansas. The Race Directors have change this year’s course and will finish right in the middle of the Loose Caboose Festival.
This is the 4th event of 11 in the 2010 Ridge Rider Athletic Club’s Running & Walking Series. Series Points will be awarded to all participants.
Online registration is available at www.racesonine.com or you can follow the direct link on the left. Pre-registration cost is $15.00 online and $20.00 for mail in entry.
Fee increases to $20.00 online and $25.00 for mail in entry on May 6, 2010. Each participant that pre-registers online is guaranteed a T-shirt and race goody bag.
Packet Pickup and day of registration will be from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM on the square in Paragould at the intersection of Court Street and Pruett Street. Day of registration will cost $20.00 and you are NOT guaranteed a race shirt or race packet.
Make plans to stay part of the day and enjoy live music, food and the festival. The festival is very kid friendly and will have live music all afternoon and evening.
You are also welcomed to bring you Road Bicycle and take part in the 4th Annual Iron Caboose 10, 25 or 64 mile bike ride at 9:00 AM. The Iron Caboose is a fully support bicycle ride through beautiful Crowley’s Ridge.
The Loose Caboose 5K Run &Walk will start promptly at 8:00 AM Runner, Walkers and walking teams are encouraged to pre-register and arrive early for packet and chip pickup.
The course will run in and around downtown and historic Paragould. The course is somewhat flat with some rolling hills with a great ½ mile down hill finish. There will be two water stations at the 1 and 2 mile splits. The course will be marked and supervised with volunteers. There will also be Paragould Police Officer support throughout the course.
Proceeds go to the Downtown Paragould Associatoin.
This will be a ChampionChip timed race. You are responsible to return the Chip assigned to you. Please make sure to turn in your chip to the volunteers at the finish line.
