Club Ride Etiquette

The Jim Stearns Rule

 

The RRAC meets at 5:45 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday for a 6:00 pm group ride.  The RRAC also meets on Saturday at either 8:00 am, 9:00 am or 2:00 pm depending on the weather. When the time changes in October we change Saturday's ride to 2:00 pm!

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL ANNOUNCED RRAC GROUP RIDES!!!

 

Monday & Wednesday
Beginner Ride

 
5:45 P.M. Ride @ 6:00 P.M.

PACE USUALLY 12-16 MPH.

The RRAC coordinates beginner group road bike rides.  During March through October.  Monday & Wednesday rides start and finish at The NEA Baptist Hospital located at Hwy 63 and Stadium Blvd.  Course is out and back usually pretty flat.  Distance is anywhere from 15 to 25 miles to be back before dark. 

 

Tuesday & Thursday

5:45 P.M. 6:00 P.M. Ride

THIS RIDE PACE IS USUALLY 15 - 20+ MPH.

The RRAC coordinates regular group road bike rides as well.  During March through October. Tuesday & Thursday rides start and finish at The NEA Baptist Hospital located at Hwy 63 and Stadium Blvd.  Course is out and back distance is anywhere from 20 miles to 30+ miles.

 

Saturday or Sunday

During March through October we meet at a couple of different places. Contact a RRAC member to find out where.  We usually meet and ride 30 to 75 miles depending on what were training for and how many and how far the group decides to go.  Don't show up if you are not at least ready to ride 40 miles.  We never go less than 40 on Saturday.  Pace is usually 15 - 20 mph.

 

For all rides, pace is usually comfortable to moderately fast.  15 to 20 mph.
